Have containers?  Plant a garden.  Imagine the possibilities.

Since day three of creation when God said, “Let the land produce vegetation” we have been blessed with the beauty of His design.  But your own personal Garden of Eden can be cultivated in containers.

Container gardening can be as simple or as complex as the gardener chooses; as modest or dramatic as the containers themselves.

A container gardener is not only a gardener, but also an architect and an artist, limited only by – wait a minute – there is no limit to the palette of colors and variety of plants at the gardeners fingertips.  There is no limit to the containers at the gardener’s disposal.

Choose the plants that you love.  Select flowers that remind you of your grandmother’s garden or that bring to mind dewy spring mornings or tropical summer evenings.  Plant flowers that produce fragrance that fills the air and is carried by the breezes.  Try growing the herbs that make your recipes oh so good.  And be bold.   Experiment with new plantings.  Discover new favorites.

Be creative with your containers.  Almost anything that can hold soil or water can be put to use.  If the container itself is unsuitable for planting use it to hold small pots.  Check your attic, your garage, local flea markets, your neighborhood yard sales for unique items that will add interest to your container arrangements and your own personal style to your garden.

Gardens in containers are functional and portable.  Need to dress up a bare spot under that oak tree in your back yard?  Cover it with container gardens.
Need to camouflage a gas meter or a water spigot?  Hide it with container gardens.
Want to add color to your front porch railing without painting?  Add some container gardens.

Small containers are easily moved at the whim of the gardener or to take advantage of the sunlight or the shade depending on your plants needs.  Put your large containers on wheels made for the job and wheel them about.  Rearrange the plants as they grow and bloom.  Change your landscape.  Change the focus.  Change your mind.

Container gardening is fun, relaxing, therapeutic, inexpensive and very, very rewarding..

Growing beautiful plants and flowers should be a constant reminder of God’s glorious creation .

”And God saw that it was good  and there was evening and there was morning – the third day.”
